HBA 1.0 Entire Home Application

This home had two standard air conditioning units (1-5 ton and 1-3 ton) with natural gas forced-air furnaces in them. These units were removed and replaced with duel fuel air-to-air heat pumps with natural gas as the supplemental heat (Feb.2010). The attic insulation R-value has been increased from R-25 to R-42 by adding cellulose insulation and bringing the total depth of insulation to 12 inches (Feb. 2010). The dishwasher (Whirlpool)( Replaced in June 2010) and clothes washer Samsung(replaced in March 2010) were replaced with Energy Star models, the windows are scheduled to be caulked with silicone caulking, the exterior doors and garage door will be weather stripped and foam sealers will be installed behind electric outlet and light switch face plates in the summer of 2010. The interior lights have been replaced with CFL’s throughout the house, where applicable.
